Crouch to Newcastle?

Crouch to Newcastle?

20 January 2008 - 23:07

Liverpool striker Peter Crouch could be Kevin Keegan's first high profile signing after a series of speculation linked the lanky England striker with a transfer window move to Newcastle.

  • Martin Keown praises complete Arsenal star after Bournemouth win

  • Peter Crouch has fell behind Dirk Kuyt and Fernando Torres in the pecking order at Liverpool, and as Ryan Babel continues to make an impression at the Reds, Crouch has found himself left in the cold and frustrated with a lack of opportunities.

It seems Keegan wishes to pair Michael Owen with his occasional England partner Peter Crouch and is willing to part with over £7 million to land the ex-Tottenham striker.

Crouch himself has not ruled out the possibility of a move in the transfer window, and Newcastle could be the perfect opportunity for him.
