David Moyes interested in Joe Hart?

26 August 2016 - 14:39

Sunderland boss David Moyes has refused to rule out a late bid for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart. The Black Cats are on the search for a new shot-stopper after Vito Mannone was sidelined with an elbow injury.

  • The former Arsenal graduate is expected to be out for at least three months and this has urged the Black Cats to find a replacement, considering Jordan Pickford is still inexperienced in the top flight.

Speaking ahead of his side's trip to Southampton, Moyes was asked whether he would consider a move for Hart for which he replied in a tranquil manner.

"We'll have to look for another goalkeeper and we will assess what we are going to do," the Scot told reporters.

"We have only got a few more days so you will not have to wait long to find out what goalkeeper we will get."

Manchester City have currently placed a £7m loan fee on Hart's head, and this has swayed away interest from his suitors.

Sunderland are yet to get off the mark in the points tally despite impressive in the opening two games of the campaign.
