Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has his sights set of signing Turkish midfielder Arda Turan from Barcelona. The 29-year-old has been under-used by Luis Enrique since his arrival at Camp Nou.
Turan joined the Catalan giants from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, but had to wait until the New Year for his first appearance due to the club's transfer ban.
He has since been sparingly used in the starting line-up with the likes of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta being preferred in midfield.
Spanish outlet Don Balon suggests that Klopp could lodge a bid for the Turkish playmaker in January as he looks to overcome the absence of Sadio Mane.
Mane is expected to participate for Mali at the African Cup of Nations, and this could see him miss up to four weeks of action for the Reds.
Despite his limited playing time this term, Turan has managed to net five goals and four assists for the Spanish champions.
