Pochettino to replace Luis Enrique at Barca?

19 February 2017 - 06:21

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been identified as the potential option to takeover the managerial reigns at Barcelona in the summer.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Pochettino is not the sole EPL head coach on their radar with former player and Everton boss Ronald Koeman also being looked at.

Barcelona have endured a difficult run in both domestic and the European competition this season, and this has urged them to consider the future of Luis Enrique whose contract is due to expire in the summer.

The Spanish champions are currently four points of leaders Real Madrid who still have a game in hand while their Champions League outing is surely but over following a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16, first-leg.

According to The Express, the club have begun their search for a new head coach but there is still the possibility that Enrique could remain at the helm.

Both Pochettino and Koeman are said to be rated highly by the Catalan giants with the former's work with youngsters deemed to have impressed the Camp Nou outfit.

Pochettino has made drastic improvement to his Spurs' side at White Hart Lane, but the lack of trophies may well tempt him to accept the challenge at one of the best clubs in Europe.
