Manchester United have reportedly held initial discussions with agent Mino Raiola over a summer deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Donnarumma, who made his debut at just 16, has turned the heads of numerous clubs in Italy and Europe through his splendid performances on the pitch for the Rossoneri.
The teenage goalkeeper has already amassed 60 appearances for the San Siro outfit, while he is expected to replace Gianluigi Buffon as Italy's number one, once the veteran hangs up his boots.
Calciomercato reports that the Red Devils are keeping close contact with Donnarumma's representative Mino Raiola, who oversaw the arrivals of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford last summer.
Jose Mourinho is said to be assessing his goalkeeping options with Real Madrid likely to step up their long-time pursuit of David de Gea at the end of the campaign.
The Rossoneri looks far off from clinching a Champions League position this term, but they won't allow Donnarumma leave unless his entire £42m valuation is matched.
