Team News: Middlesbrough host Man City in FA Cup

11 March 2017 - 11:34

The day's early kick off sees Manchester City travel to Middlesbrough, competing for a place in the FA Cup semi finals. The home side have struggled recently in the league, so this cup tie will be a welcome break. City are on the hunt for silverware, and finding themselves some way behind Chelsea in the Premier League, and with some strong teams still in the Champions League, may see the FA Cup as their best chance.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • Middlesbrough start with Brad Guzan in goal ahead of Victor Valdes, and will look to Adama Traore to cause the City defence problems with his pace. Rudy Gestede leads the line for 'Boro, with the options of Ramirez and Negredo on the bench.

Manchester City name a strong starting lineup. Claudio Bravo plays in goal, with the attacking options of Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane, David Silva and Sergio Aguero all included too. Iheanacho and Nolito offer attacking options from the bench.

Here are the teams in full for the FA Cup quarter final tie between Middlesbrough and Manchester City:

Middlesbrough : Guzan, Barragan, Bernardo, Gibson, Fabio, Clayton, Leadbitter, De Roon, Stuani, Traore, Gestede
