West Ham United will reportedly revive their pursuit of Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi just a year after they failed to sign him from French club Marseille.
The Hammers were close to signing the 23-year-old from Les Phoceens last summer before the Blues hijacked the deal with a late £33m bid on an improved salary package.
Since then, Batshuayi has largely warmed the substitutes' bench and has surprisingly failed to make a single Premier League start under Antonio Conte.
According to The Mail, Batshuayi will seek to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer even if it is on a temporary deal away from the west London giants.
Batshuayi has largely featured in the Cup games this campaign, and he will seek to earn regular first-team action elsewhere as he bids to make the Belgian squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
West Ham United are on the search for a top-class marksman to add to their ranks and Batshuayi could be the perfect fit for the role, given Andy Carroll's regular setbacks through injury.
