Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus is reportedly set to earn a pay rise following his impressive start to his Citizens career.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Fulham man?
  • The Brazil international joined the two-time Premier League champions earlier in January, and he has since contributed 12 goals in just 15 starts.

Pep Guardiola has at times preferred Jesus ahead of Sergio Aguero in his starting lineup, and this has shown the immense trust the Spaniard has on his striker.

According to The Telegraph, the club's hierarchy are convinced that Jesus' stock has risen over the past few months, and they are prepared to reward him financially with a decent hike on his £70,000 a week deal.

The report adds that City will hold discussions with Jesus only after they have finalised extensions for midfield duo David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne.

Silva is due to earn a one-year extension on his present deal expiring in June 2019, whilst De Bruyne looks set to double his current wage package.
