Barcelona eyeing shock move for James Rodriguez

08 November 2017 - 09:39

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing James Rodriguez, if Bayern Munich take the option of recruiting him on a permanent basis from Real Madrid.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • The Colombia international joined the Bavarian giants on a two-year loan deal earlier in the summer with the option of sealing a full-time contract for around £52m.

Since then, the 26-year-old has made a good impression with his form picking up following the arrival of manager Jupp Heynckes on an interim basis.

According to Don Balon, the Catalan giants are keeping a close watch on the attacker's showing and they are prepared to make a move, should Bayern sign him on a permanent deal.

Ernesto Valverde's side are willing to offer as much as £88m further down the line as they seek to lure Rodriguez to the Camp Nou, where he could cement his spot on the left wing.

Don Balon also suggests that the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Arturo Vidal are weighing up their futures following the dismissal of Carlo Ancelotti earlier in the season.
