The FA Cup semi-final draw was made on Sunday evening after it was confirmed that the final four of this year's competition will be made up of four Premier League teams; three of the top six and a relegation struggler.
Manchester United overcame Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday in a 2-0 victory. Despite goals from Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, manager Jose Mourinho was less than impressed with his team's performance and questions about "The Special One"'s future at Old Trafford are beginning to be asked.
They will play Tottenham Hotspur in the first semi-final at Wembley, who travelled to Wales to face Swansea City and came away with a comfortable 3-0 win. Erik Lamela scored for Spurs between two Christian Eriksen strikes for the team who will be used to performing at Wembley.
Chelsea had a tough trip to Leicester to overcome if their quest for silverware this season was to continue. Although it took extra time to separate the two teams, Antonio Conte's team held out for a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium thanks to substitute Pedro's header.
The two lowest ranked teams left in the competition met on Sunday when former winners Wigan Athletic hosted Southampton in new manager Mark Hughes' first game in charge. In a tight encounter, Premier League Southampton eventually came out 2-0 winners and secured their path to the semi-finals.
The penultimate round of this season's tournament will take place on the weekend of 21-22 April, with victory securing two teams a place in the final in May.
