Jack Wilshere has reportedly begun a series of medical tests with West Ham United ahead of his expected move to the east London club.
The England international left the Gunners on a free transfer in July after his contract expired and he has since been associated with the Hammers.
Wilshere is said to have received strong interest from Fenerbahce of late, but according to The Times, he is supposedly close to completing his switch to Manuel Pellegrini's side.
The midfielder is presently undergoing an exhaustive medical test with the Hammers and once that is successful, he is expected to pen a three-year deal with the club.
Wilshere is set to become the club's fourth recruit of the transfer window after the arrivals of Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Lukasz Fabianski - the former costing a club-record fee.
Wilshere made 38 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions last term but only 12 of those were starts in the Premier League under ex-boss Arsene Wenger.
