France international Kurt Zouma is said to have been left out of the Blues' pre-season tour of Singapore after picking up an injury, a report from Goal.com claims.
The former Saint-Etienne man was a surprise exclusion from the squad which made the trip to the Far East but it has now been revealed that he has been carrying an injury.
According to Goal.com, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri made the decision to drop Zouma as it would be well served for him to take treatment in London rather than being involved in the tour.
Zouma made a mark under Jose Mourinho during the 2014/15 season but he could not maintain his position the season after with a cruel cruciate injury sidelining him for 10 months.
Chelsea have made just a solitary signing in the form of Jorginho this summer and the Italian has made his way to the Far East following Italy's failure to qualify for the recent World Cup in Russia.
