  • Inter Milan are in serious contention to lure the best player in the recently concluded World Cup with Real Madrid in fear of losing yet another superstar after Cristiano Ronaldo.

The star-filled Croatian recently turned down an improved contract deal and has set up his mind to play elsewhere. Florentino Perez is adamant to bring in a class midfielder like Modric hence, surfacing the entry way for the Spanish dynamo.

Thiago joined Bayern Munich in 2013 from Barcelona to receive the guidance of Pep Guardiola once again and since he has been an ideal performer in the central midfield for the German giants.

Now, he is in the wishlist of Real Madrid, the stern rivals of the Catalan club to whom he previously belonged. If a move materialises, the Spaniard will return to his homeland and moreover aid the midfield concerns Los Blancos are suffering ahead of the new season.

Moreover, Thiago has the experience of playing under Julien Lopetuigi, the current boss and successor to Zinedine Zidane, in both junior and senior levels for the Spanish national team. He enjoyed a lot of playing time in the first eleven in the national squad under him and this may well resolve all the pressure in transfer contradictory.

On the other hand, the 27 times Bundesliga Champions, Bayern may have to make a move for one more central midfielder if the deal happens after losing out on Chilean star Arturo Vidal to Barcelona, a week ago.
