Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi to Old Trafford, according to Olé magazine.

  • The Portuguese will be hoping that he has the support of the club in his pursuit of the Argentine who could cost United €110m.

There is not yet an indication that the player is interested in a move to Old Trafford, with the January transfer window a few months away.

Icardi is one of the best strikers in Europe and was on fire for Inter last season, scoring 29 goals in 34 Serie A games.

He was left out of Argentina's disastrous Russia 2018 World Cup campaign by former boss Jorge Sampaoli, but he has since been called back by caretaker manager Lionel Scaloni.

Romelu Lukaku is currently United's main attacker, and despite missing some good opportunities in his time at Old Trafford, he has done fairly well for the club, scoring a total of 32 goals since his move from Everton in 2017.
