Hleb: Lehmann an angry man

Hleb: Lehmann an angry man

13 March 2008 - 11:50

Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has revealed that German goalkeeper Jens Lehmann gave his teammates the silent treatment after he lost his place to Manuel Almunia. Lehmann has cut a solitary figure in recent weeks as he battles for the first team spot.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Hleb told The Sun: "At first, when Jens was not picked, he was very angry. He did not speak any more.

"He has a good heart - as long as we speak about private things.

"But when he stands on the training ground he becomes a different person. The way he acts there sometimes needs getting used to."
