Rebel striker Diego Costa has reportedly told his agent that he wants to leave Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window. Costa, who recently arrived from Chelsea, has reportedly informed his agent to find a way out of the club after hearing of teammate Antoine Griezmann's pay rise.
The striker is furious that Griezmann is earning significantly more than him and is ready to quit the club in search of a new opportunity.
There is even a report that German club Bayern Munich are weighing up a shock transfer window move for the burly Spanish international.
Griezmann reportedly makes 20 million euros a year, whilst Costa earns 8 million euros per season. According to Marca, the Brazilian-born striker is furious at the significant pay gap and is demanding more money.
There is long-term interest from Qatar, China and Japan for the striker and despite Diego Costa still being in the best form of his career, he would consider a move elsewhere to earn more cash, even if it means taking a step down from one of Europe's top leagues.
