Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be frustrated with the performances of Alvaro Morata during the early part of the current campaign and he is likely to pursue a probable replacement at the turn of the year.

  • The Spaniard has already scored three times for the Blues during the ongoing season but he has been guilty of missed numerous clear-cut chances which could have quite easily doubled his tally.

Due to this, Sarri is said to be eyeing a new marksman and The Sun reports that the Italian has made up a four-man shortlist to replace the Spain international in January.

Among those, former player Gonzalo Higuain is said to be topping the wishlist despite the Argentine having only recently joined AC Milan from Juventus on a season-long loan.

Aside from Higuain, Juventus' Paulo Dybala, AC Milan's Patrick Cutrone and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner are on the manager's radar, though neither of those players are looking to leave their respective sides this winter.
