  • The Belgian has just 13 months remaining on his current deal with the Blues and so far, he has shown little to no desire in terms of extending his contract.

As a result, there has been constant speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid, who are deemed to have already failed with a couple of transfer bids.

Speaking after the curtain closer against Leicester City, Sarri appreciated the efforts of Hazard over the past seven years and said that he will respect any decision made by the Belgian.

“I think Eden has played here in Chelsea for seven seasons, trying in every match to do his best and now it’s time to respect his decision, but I hope he will remain with us," he told Sky Sports.

Hazard came on in the 68th minute of the final league game against Leicester City but he could not influence the proceedings as the club played out a 0-0 draw.
