Milan to swoop for Flamini

23 March 2008 - 10:11

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is reportedly set to join AC Milan in the summer on a Bosman move. The Italian giants made their feelings known to Flamini in the recent Champions League tie, and have offered significantly higher wages to Flamini.

  • Reportedly, Arsenal were only willing to offer £50,000 a week to Flamini, whereas Juventus have gazumped this with a £65,000 pay deal and a £4 million signing on package.

Arsene Wenger has insisted he felt Flamini would stay at the club. But Flamini never confirmed this himself despite seemingly appearing happy at Arsenal.

The move will be sure to upset Wenger, who has shown a great deal of faith in the French midfielder.
