Danny Rose set for Tottenham exit

Tottenham defender Danny Rose has been informed that he can leave White Hart Lane this summer, with a move to a Premier League rival looking increasingly likely. Rose has been linked with transfers to Newcastle or West Ham United, but it is understood Rose would prefer to move further north away from London.

  • Ahead of a major squad revamp by Mauricio Pochettino this summer, Rose has been informed he is free to leave the club if a team can match the reported £14 million transfer fee.

Rose has endured a difficult couple of seasons at Spurs, at times losing his place to Welsh international left back Ben Davies, and has decided that he would like to move elsewhere.

Newcastle remain in pole position to secure the England international's signature and will make an opening offer next week, once they offload striker Salomon Rondon.

Danny Rose has two years remaining on his Spurs contract and will be allowed to leave at a reduced price so that Tottenham can bring in fresh faces.
