Real Madrid are reportedly planning to offer the services of midfielder Toni Kroos in a player-plus-cash deal to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
The Bernabeu giants were heavily fancied to sign Pogba during the summer transfer window but ultimately, they were unable to meet the £180m asking price of the Red Devils.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is still keen on landing the World Cup winner an approach could be made in the next transfer window.
Furthermore, it is added that Kroos could be offered as a makeweight in the proposed player-plus-cash deal despite the fact that the German has only recently extended his contract with the club.
Kroos has been linked with the Red Devils since their time under David Moyes and he came close to joining them in the summer of 2014 before then-manager Louis van Gaal pulled the plug on the proposed deal.
Pogba has made just two appearances for United since August due to an ankle concern. He is deemed doubtful for the forthcoming league clash against Liverpool.
