Manchester United are scheduled to host Liverpool in this weekend's much-anticipated Premier League clash. The Red Devils have made a dreadful beginning to the season with just nine points attained from eight matches and that sees them already five points behind the Champions League places.
Ahead of the Reds game, the club have been hampered with multiple injuries to key players including Paul Pogba and David de Gea but the club's faithful will be hoping that the team can produce a strong performance against their fierce league rivals.
Predicted Lineup:
David de Gea picked up a thigh injury on international duty with Spain and he is definitely sidelined for the weekend clash. His absence should witness a rare league start for Sergio Romero.
In the central defence, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire should play together for the eighth occasion this term. Elsewhere, Ashley Young and Axel Tuanzebe could slot into the left and right-back spots respectively with Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka unlikely to be fit to make the starting XI.
At the heart of the midfield, Scott McTominay has firmly cemented his place with his consistent showing through the early stages. He could be accompanied by Nemanja Matic in the defensive midfield with Andreas Pereira playing ahead of them.
In the attack, Daniel James and Marcus Rashford are certainties to start. James should slot into his preferred left-wing role with Rashford leading the line. On the right side of the attack, Juan Mata may get the nod over Mason Greenwood, given Solskjaer has shown the reluctance to start the teenager in the Premier League this term.
