Manchester United are reportedly prepared to hand Antoine Griezmann with the number 7 shirt, should he join the club from Barcelona this summer.
Griezmann was tipped to sign for the Red Devils in June 2017 but he opted to remain with Atletico Madrid due to their transfer ban.
The Frenchman made the switch to the Camp Nou last summer and he has fared decently with a tally of 14 goals and four assists from 37 appearances for the club.
Still, his future remains uncertain with the Blaugrana, particularly with the club aiming to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in a few months' time.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana are prepared to sacrifice the services of Griezmann after just one season such that they can accumulate funds for Martinez's signature.
The same report claims that the Red Devils are prepared to make a fresh move for the 2018 World Cup winner and they are willing to offer him the iconic number 7 shirt.
Alexis Sanchez is currently allotted with the jersey number but the Chilean is expected to head through the exit door, once his loan stint at Inter Milan concludes this summer.
Barcelona are expected to demand around £90m for Griezmann's sale.
