Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero is keen on terminating his contract with the club in order to pursue a new challenge.
The Argentine was the back-up keeper to David de Gea over the past five years, but his position has changed with the emergence of Dean Henderson.
Romero was recently left out of United's Champions League and Premier League squads and it appears that he has played his final game for the club.
According to The Star, the 33-year-old has held talks with the hierarchy and he is hopeful of having his contract terminated in the near future.
Romero has been offered the chance to return to his former side Racing Club by their president Victor Blanco, but he is said to prefer a move to MLS.
The MLS summer transfer window closes tomorrow and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils are willing to cut ties with Romero at such a short notice.
