Ajax defender Perr Schuurs has ruled out a potential move to Liverpool by emphasising that he wants to play a few more seasons with the Dutch champions.
The centre-back has cemented a regular role alongside Daley Blind this term and his performances have caught the eye of the Reds, who are coping with long-term knee injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
It has recently been claimed that the Premier League holders could make a £27m bid to sign him during the January transfer window, but the defender has dismissed his chances of leaving Ajax so soon.
"I hear and read [Liverpool rumours] too. It's my first season as a regular at Ajax. I want to play here for a few more seasons and win prizes. I'm not really working on that yet," He told SBS6.
Schuurs played through the entire 90 minutes of Ajax's 1-0 Champions League defeat at Liverpool last night. They conceded prior to the hour mark after a blunder from goalkeeper Andre Onana.
