Raphael Varane speaks on his Real Madrid future

26 April 2021 - 21:27

Raphael Varane has said that he is 100 percent committed to the team amid the transfer interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Frenchman has only 14 months remaining on his contract with Los Blancos, and he has yet to commit to a fresh deal.

This has led to speculation that he could move on, and reports have suggested that he would prefer a switch to the Premier League.

Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash against Chelsea, Varane dismissed the rumours by stating his commitment towards Los Blancos.

He said: "My focus is on the end of the season. The message to the fans is that I am 100 per cent committed to the team."

"We have challenges that encourage us a lot. I am focused on giving everything on the field."

Varane will have a key role to play in the central defence when Los Blancos host the Blues in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final tomorrow.

Los Blancos have been boosted by the injury returns of Eden Hazard and Toni Kroos, but they are still missing Sergio Ramos.

Ramos has returned to training after another muscle injury, but he has not been deemed fit enough to make his comeback.
