Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Benfica striker Darwin Nunez ahead of a potential summer move.
Nunez has been in fine form for the Portuguese giants this term, bagging 11 goals from 16 appearances.
His progress has caught the eye of the Gunners, who are likely to pursue at least one striker next summer.
Both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah have entered the final year of their respective contracts.
Nketiah is likely to be sold in the coming month, but Lacazette appears set to stay for the rest of his deal.
Nunez has been identified as a potential candidate to bolster the strikeforce ahead of the 2022/23 season.
He was signed by Benfica for around £20m from Almeria, and they are likely to demand twice the sum.
The Gunners could recruit more than one striker next summer if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaves.
Aubameyang has looked out of sorts in recent weeks, and there is speculation that he could be sold.
The club captain will enter the final year of his contract in June, and there appear no plans to prolong his stay.
