Liverpool are reportedly leading Manchester United in the race to sign Torino defender Bremer this summer.
The Brazilian has vastly built his reputation with the Serie A outfit, and his performances have caught the eye of elite European clubs.
United have made initial contact with his representatives, but Tuttosport claims that the Reds may have the edge in the player's pursuit.
The Merseyside giants are currently loaded with central defensive options with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel Phillips is currently away on loan. However, there are suggestions that Phillips and Gomez could leave this summer.
This could pave the way for a new summer signing. Bremer, who is valued at £30m, has been identified as a suitable transfer candidate.
The big question remains whether Bremer is willing to accept a back-up role with either Liverpool or United. He could play regularly elsewhere.
Bremer has also been linked with Arsenal, but the north London club seem to have cooled their interest, having seen William Saliba's progress out on loan.
