Chelsea have confirmed that Andreas Christensen will officially leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the month.

It has been known for several months that the Dane would be leaving the Blues this summer, having signed a pre-contract with Barcelona.

The west London giants have now formally confirmed that Christensen will head for the exit door, thereby ending his decade-long stay.

He becomes the second centre-back to leave the club following the free transfer exit of Antonio Rudiger, who has signed for Real Madrid.

The Blues are expected to fill their voids soon. Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde has been tipped to join them before the end of the ongoing month.

Thomas Tuchel\'s side also have their sights on Paris Saint-Germain\'s Presnel Kimpembe and RB Leipzig\'s Josko Gvardiol, though they could be difficult to sign.

Chelsea are planning at least five signings. Aside from a couple of centre-backs, a new left wing-back, striker and midfielder are among priorities.
