Chelsea are interested in signing Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The west London giants have already signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, and have agreements in place for Carney Chukwuemeka and Gabriel Slolina.
Talks are ongoing behind the scenes for Brighton & Hove Albion's Marc Cucurella, but the club are likewise interested in Walker-Peters as they aim to replace Cesar Azpilicueta this summer.
Azpilicueta has already agreed personal terms with Barcelona over a transfer, and the arrival of another right wing-back could pave the way for his move to the Catalan giants.
Walker-Peters won't come on the cheap with a £40 million asking price, but he would be a worthwhile purchase for the Blues with his strong tackling and excellent dribbling qualities.
His move to Stamford Bridge could allow manager Thomas Tuchel to play Reece James in the back three when required. James could also be rested in games to manage his workload.
