Arsenal will have to pay a hefty fee to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice during the summer transfer window.
The England international has been a terrific player for the Hammers but he is expected to end his association with the club soon.
Rice has his sights on winning trophies and playing Champions League football and he has rejected a new deal as a result.
It is now reported by The Mail that the Gunners will need to pay a club-record fee of around £100 million to prise him away.
The Hammers are likely to stay firm on the valuation for their captain even if they are relegated from the top-flight this term.
Chelsea are also long-term admirers of the midfielder but Arsenal are likely to be favourites to land his services in the summer.
The Gunners are back in the Champions League after a six-year wait and this should hand them a huge advantage in the race.
