Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he will be without two players for the Premier League opener tomorrow.
The Gunners start their campaign against Nottingham Forest at home, and ahead of the game, Arteta has provided an injury update.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, he said that there are no fresh concerns, but no injured player is anticipated to return.
Mohamed Elneny has been out of action since early January after a knee surgery. He is continuing his rehabilitation process.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus only recently underwent a minor knee procedure and he is now expected to return for another few weeks.
Despite their absences, Arsenal have a strong squad at their disposal and Arteta will be hoping to start the season on a high note.
With Jesus on the sidelines, Kai Havertz seems the likely candidate to lead the line, though Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard are options.
Elneny, on the other hand, have never been a regular starter for the Gunners. Thomas Partey is set to start in the number six role.
