Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Nottingham Forest, Jackson starts

02 September 2023 - 13:10

Chelsea will be eyeing back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they host Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge today.

  • Dutch star has travelled to London for Chelsea medical
  • Chelsea to focus on signing Dutch attacker after Hato

  • The Blues picked up their first victory of the campaign against Luton Town and should fancy another positive result at home.

    Formation: 3-4-2-1

    Predicted Line-up:

Robert Sanchez is the undisputed number one in goal for the Blues and he is set to start for the fourth Premier League game running.

In front of him, it could be the same backline from the Luton game. Thiago Silva could start in the middle of the back three with Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill either side.

With Reece James out with a hamstring injury, Malo Gusto is the natural replacement at right wing-back. The Frenchman bagged two assists in the recent win vs Luton.

Ben Chilwell is the captain of the side in the absence of James. The Englishman is a nailed-on starter from the left wing-back spot for the west London giants.

Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are set to start in the centre of the park, and we could see the latter operating in a free role with the defensive assurance behind.

Further forward, Raheem Sterling, Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson are assured starters on current form. Sterling was splendid against Luton with two goals and an assist.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1): Sanchez; Disasi, Silva, Colwill; Gusto, Fernandez, Caicedo, Chilwell; Gallagher, Sterling; Jackson.
