Newcastle United have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Lille striker Jonathan David this winter, according to Football Insider.
The Canada international has been a key player for the French outfit and he recently scored the winning goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
However, his future at the club is uncertain and he could leave as early as January, considering his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
Lille could accept a cut-price fee in the region of €25 million and it is claimed that a number of Premier League clubs are on the trail for his services.
Arsenal and Liverpool are obvious admirers of the 24-year-old, but the Magpies are now said to be contemplating an approach for him too.
Alexander Isak is the regular striker for the Magpies, but the Sweden international has been prone to missing games with minor niggles.
Callum Wilson has had a poor injury record over the years and David would be a fantastic addition to provide competition for places.
