Chelsea lining up Kaka

Chelsea lining up Kaka

26 May 2008 - 06:37

After sacking their manager Avram Grant, Chelsea are now reportedly eager to bolster their squad with the AC Milan ace Kaka being lined up to join the superstars at Stamford Bridge.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Sources in England have revealed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is eager to sign the Brazilian international midfielder and is prepared to spend as much money as needed to lure Milan into disposing of their most valuable and significant asset.

And crucially Abramovich is ready to string together two of the Chelsea stars into the bid. Want-away striker Didier Drogba and Portuguese international defender Ricardo Carvalho both are being tipped to be traded to Milan for Kaka (along with the cash of course).

Drogba is almost out of the Bridge and his likely destination is Milan although a move to Spanish giants FC Barcelona is not out of the equation. Carvalho has expressed his disinterest to carry on at Chelsea.

Roman Abramovich prised the Ukrainian legend Andriy Shevchenko from AC Milan in the summer of 2006 for ₤30 million.
