Arsenal face League One side Port Vale in the third round of the Carabao Cup tonight.

  • Chelsea & Man City interested in Crystal Palace star
  • Arsenal & Chelsea want to sign Ousmane Diomande?

  • Ahead of the game, manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that he will be making plenty of changes.

The Spaniard has already confirmed that Kepa Arrizabalaga will be starting between the sticks.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Line-up:

Arrizabalaga is set to make his debut in goal for the London giants, as confirmed by the manager.

In front of him, there could be a triple change in defence with Jurrien Timber, William Saliba and Riccardo Calafiori being rested.

Ben White and Myles Lewis-Skelly should slot in the full-back positions, while Cristhian Mosquera looks set to parter Gabriel in central defence.

Piero Hincapie won't be involved due to a groin injury.

Martin Zubimendi looks set to be rested. Christian Norgaard is expected to make his maiden club start in the number six position.

Mikel Merino could likewise drop out of the XI. We anticipate Ethan Nwaneri to partner Declan Rice in central midfield.

Further forward, there could be a maiden start for 15-year-old Max Dowman on the right wing with Noni Madueke injured.

Bukayo Saka may not be risked after his recent injury lay-off.

Viktor Gyokeres and Leandro Trossard could likewise be rested.

Gabriel Martinelli looks poised to lead the line, having scored goals in back-to-back games from the number nine role.

Eberechi Eze could slot on the left wing for Arsenal tonight.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Port Vale; Arrizabalaga; White, Mosquera, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Norgaard, Rice, Nwaneri; Dowman, Martinelli, Eze.
