The UEFA technical committee for Euro 2008 has named its 23-man squad of the tournament. In addition, Spain midfielder Xavi Hernandez has been named as the best player of the tournament.

  • The FC Barcelona midfielder was named as the Castrol Player of the Tournament. Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo, who had a disappointing Euro 2008 with Portugal, was not even named in the 23-man team of the tournament.
