They might have lost the last two games against the two of the best teams in the Premier League. Harry Redknapp had secured a 3-0 win against Everton away from home, which will give them enough confidence to play against the Eastland club.
The fact that worries Redknapp would be that Man City are looking more like a top team with stars - Robinho, Jo, Kompany and Elano are match winners.
Injuries and Suspensions
The creative midfielder, Nico Kranjcar will no be available, former Man City captain Distin and England goal keeper David James will make a return for the Pompeys.
Man City is still not able to have the services of flying left midfielder - Martin Petrov. Garrido will return to the first team, Micheal Johnson is fit and he will fill the midfield.
