Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to make an offer next summer for Ireland international and Newcastle United's goalkeeper Shay Given.

The French coach has always been a long-term admirer of the Newcastle shot stopper, and could now transfer his interest into making an official offer for the Irish number 1.



Given is valued by his club at around £5 million, and should Arsenal make an offer, it is is believed several other Premiership sides will also be ready to go head to head to land the player.
