Tottenham's 125th anniversary celebrations were saved thanks to a last minute Younes Kaboul goal in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Aston Villa at White Hart Lane. Aston Villa at one point were 4-1 up, but the late comeback sparked jubilant celebrations at the Lane.
Dimitar Berbatov put Spurs in front with a header but Martin Laursen levelled after Paul Robinson's terrible mistake. Laursen scored again and made it 2-1 when he deflected in Zat Knight's header. Gabriel Agbonlahor drilled home the third and Craig Gardner's low free-kick made it 4-1 on 59 minutes.
Then the Tottenham fightback began, Pascal Chimbonda replied with a goal after Jermain Defoe had hit the post.
Robbie Keane's penalty made it 4-3 before Younes Kaboul levelled in the 90th minute slamming home in stoppage time after Villa failed to clear a corner.
The goal would spark wild celebrations with Kaboul, the players and Martin Jol.
The late finish may keep Jol in a job, and with celebrations reminiscent of a Championship victory, Tottenham will be worried as their season continues to spiral out of control.
