Bentley linked with Aston Villa

Tottenham midfielder David Bentley has been told that he has no future at White Hart Lane; with reports indicating Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is ready to offer 6.5m GBP for the player.

David Bentley is amongst a set of players who have been told by Harry Redknapp they have no future at White Hart Lane.

The former Arsenal man will struggle for first team opportunities at the Lane this year as Redknapp prefers the midfield attacking trio of Gareth Bale, Rafael van der Vaart and Aaron Lennon.

McLeish will make an offer early next week for the player.
