Tottenham ready to offer Modric new deal

Tottenham are ready to offer Luka Modric a new contract, according to Harry Redknapp. The Croatian midfielder had been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
However, it seems that Modric is now happier with life at White Hart Lane, helping the Lilywhites to a 4-0 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
"Luka is fine now, he's just getting on with it. I think the chairman will sit down with him and discuss his contract," said an upbeat Redknapp.
"The chairman has said he would give it six or seven weeks, sit down and have a chat with him.
"It was a great strike. That's why we were offered £40million for him, because he's a top player."
