Man United chasing Subotic

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is looking at Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic as a possible replacement for Rio Ferdinand.

It is claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in acquiring the player's signature, but United are willing to make a £20 million bid to get the Serbian International to Old Trafford.

Subotic was an integral part of the Dortmund defence last year, as they clinched the Bundesliga crown in style, conceding only 22 goals throughout the season.

With Rio Ferdinand ageing and suffering from a dip in form, Ferguson would do well to link Subotic up with Serbian compatriot Nemanja Vidic at the centre of United's defence
