Fiorentina keen on Arsenal flop Chamakh
Italian side Fiorentina have expressed an interest in Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh. The Arsenal forward has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since arriving from Bordeaux, and Arsene Wenger is ready to let the striker leave.
Chamakh had been expected to make an instant impact at the Emirates since arriving from France, but so far the Moroccan has struggled and the impressive form of Robin van Persie has often seen his first team opportunities limited.
Serie A side Fiorentina have been linked with a move for the striker, and are ready to pay around 5m GBP. The Gunners have already signed Thierry Henry on loan for two months as Chamakh heads for the African Cup of Nations later this month.
