RvP injured, Gallas returns
RvP injured, Gallas returns
Arsenal had mixed fortune from the latest international break as skipper William Gallas made his return to action but striker Robin van Persie picked a knee injury. Van Persie could be out for some time as he anxiously waits on results of a scan - but rumours are rife he could be out of action for some time.
Gallas, on the other hand, had been out on the sidelines since playing against Blackburn Rovers in August, due to a groin problem. The Gunners skipper however has recovered and played for France in their 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifying win over Lithuania.
William Gallas will be set to take Philippe Senderos' starting place in the first team. Arsenal may decide Eduardo is the perfect candidate to replace van Persie.
