Arsenal forward RvP denies Wenger rift talk
Arsenal forward Robin van Persie adamantly denied that he has had a rift with manager Arsene Wenger, and the Dutch striker insisted that he respects every decision that his manager makes.
Van Persie was clearly unhappy during the weekend's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, after seeing starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain withdrawn after creating a goal for the Dutchman to equalise.
Only moments later, Oxlade-Chamberlain was hauled off for Andrei Arshavin; and a matter of minutes later the Gunners conceded a second goal to United through Danny Welbeck.
"I was not having a go at the boss on Sunday - I was just sad to see Alex leave the pitch as he just gave the assist for our only goal," Van Persie told The Sun.
"I was not questioning his judgment - I know it's not my place to challenge what Arsene Wenger does. He is the boss, he makes the decisions and that's it.
"I have worked with the boss long enough to know there's always a good reason behind his decisions."
