Liverpool chasing Simon Mignolet

Liverpool have emerged as favourites to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet should the club decide to sell Pepe Reina. The Spanish stopper has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

Pepe Reina has spent eight years at Anfield and could now make a move away from the club that signed him from Villarreal in 2005. Reina has always hinted that he dreams of someday returning to Barcelona; the club he played for as a youngster.


Sunderland have told Liverpool that Simon Mignolet is not for sale, but the Reds are ready to test the Black Cats' resolve with a mega money offer this month.
