Henrikh Mkhitaryan is Liverpool's top target

Shakhtar Donetsk's impressive attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains their top target for the transfer window this summer. The 24-year-old is being lined up as potential replacement for Luis Suarez.

It is understood that Liverpool's bid of £20m has matched the release clause in the Armenia international's contract, and that the Shakhtar man is ready to fly to England this week to discuss personal terms.


After scoring an impressive 38 goals in 72 games in the league for the Ukrainian side, the midfielder has attracted much interest from across Europe. However, Brendan Rodgers' side are in pole position to secure the deal.
