Napoli Target Suarez
Napoli Target Suarez
Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has given in to the obvious exit his club will have to face this summer, that of Edinson Cavani. He has set his eyes upon Cavani’s Uruguayan team mate and presently Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez, as an ideal replacement for him at Napoli.
Rafa, who holds a champion stature at Anfield, after having led the team to the European Cup victory in 2005, is all set to stick in a huge bid for Luis Suarez, who he feels has the caliber to substitute Cavani, who has been eyed upon by Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea.
It has been reported that Chelsea will hold crunch talks with Napoli in the next 24 hours to finalise negotiations for Edinson Cavani. Benitez expects an amount of around 50 million pounds from his transfer, which he would use to fund the move for Suarez, his national team striker-partner.
It is evident now that convincing Suarez for a transfer to Napoli is not going to be an easy walk for Benitez as the 26-year old forward has revealed his keenness to join Real Madrid many a times in the past.
