Newcastle plot move for Wilfried Bony
The Magpies are currently preparing a bid for highly-rated Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony. Newcastle face competition from Everton, Swansea and Anzhi Makhachkala for the forward.
Alan Pardew is very keen to add the talented striker to his squad and the Magpies have shown their intention by tabling a £12million bid for the Ivorian.
However, It is known that the Eredivisie side are holding a fee of £15million for the 24-year-old. Bony had a great season in the Eredivisie scoring 31 goals flight last season and is now keen to test himself in the Premier League.
Mega-rich Anzhi Makhachkala who have a large transfer budget could easily meet Vitesse's evaluation, while likes of Everton and Swansea are monitoring the situation around the player.
West Ham were also linked with the former Sparta Prague star but their interest has now cooled after the signing on Andy Caroll from Liverpool.
